I can't find a way to remove this update permanently - the update in fact doesn't exist on the Microsoft website anymore. However, as stated in the URL, this is a temporary fix, so the update keeps returning and causing instability issues again. I have tried the advice below, to stop the update installing. Windows becomes unstable, crashes and the laptop becomes unusable as soon as it attempts to install.
